Just about the only remaining 'proper pub' left in Whitley Bay. Not for those looking for pub grub - its all about good beer - with an excellent and changing selection of real ales. Nice, comfortable surroundings, and certainly not overcrowded during the week. Rightly popular at weekends, so get in early to get a table. Free snacks (sausages, yorkshires with gravy, roast spuds etc.) available on the bar on Sunday lunchtimes. Very nice...
