Golden Dragon

We ate here on a Thursday evening, just getting there in time for a set dinner special of £9.95. We were staying at a local hotel and regretted that we hadn't eaten somewhere else. We had walked up and down comparing places to eat and have to admit this was a bad choice. As soon as we walked in we noticed immediately that thecarpet throughout was covered in bits, looked like it hadn't been hoovered in days. The decor felt old and in need of an update and the food was very disappointing. Both meals looked a little unappealing and the tastes were a little uninspiring. After starters my husband had his fork returned as they obviously were trying to reduce washing up. I know we were being spoilt at a local hotel and spa but this was a real 'back to reality' for us. Sorry to complain but have to be honest!

My daughter visited the Golden Dragon just after Christmas.with her friends. When the bill arrived they noticed the prices were different to those on the menu. When my daughter enquired why, the waitress told her they added 20% to the final bill "because it's Christmas" Surely this isn't legal? Were they pulling a fast one because the customers were kids?
