I could hardly disagree more.

The room is very pleasantly decorated.

We have found the cooking inconsistent, varying from the unacceptably poor to the excellent within the same meal. In a bistro or foodie pub you might tolerate it, but these guys are charging London West-End prices (at least after 7p.m.) and for that you expect consistent excellence, not Russian roulette.

The service is likewise inconsistent and we had long waits between courses, with a lot of unecessary fuss when food did arrive, alternating with long periods of inattention. Don't expect a polite apology if you say that anything was not up to scratch when asked if everything was alright. Don't expect your waiter to have the foggiest idea what cheeses he is serving you.
