We would never use The Green for A meal again. Having recently called into The Green which looks so inviting from the outside!. Be very careful. We ordered our meal, and we were asked to pay a deposit or in full in advance by Zak the barman. The Rib Eye Steak came with Chips. The Steak Knife that was supplied could not cut the mushroom on the plate I had to resolve back to the ordinary knife which was a little better. This meal was not cheap as pub grub!. No salt, pepper, vinegar was supplied, the waitress just put it in front of you with out any politeness not even saying 'enjoy your meal.' or 'is there anything I can get you?'. As we had already paid in advance as soon as we finished we left. We would never use The Green for A meal again stay well clear! A Regular Visitor to the North East from North Wales

The Green was our wedding reception venue and essentially, they ruined it. They broke our contract the week of the wedding making it far too late to search for an alternate venue. They did not provide us with the room we were offered and promised - but instead, put us in the same room which was also open to the public who could sift through the food we had for our guests, drinks, gifts, etc. Many of our guests left early as the atmosphere provided was severely lacking. We even had to argue to be able to play our own music (again, we were promised this at the time of booking). Do not book The Green. Our reception was an embarrassment.

We have visted the Green several times for food and have yet to be disappointed. Not the cheapest pub menu around, but the food is excellent.

The dining area is stylishly done out and comfortable. The waitresses are usually attentive, without being overbearing.Well worth a visit for a nice lazy dinner.
