Great Pub, with a great atmosphere.

The new owners Dave and Julie have done wonders with this pub, it's previous owners had allowed the pub to go massively down hill. But it's amazing what new ideas and a refurbishment can do for a place. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and most of all there's a great selection of Real Ales to complement a good selection of world Lagers and Ciders.

You need to check out the Live Music Nights, Quiz Nights and the monthly Buskers Night, which are all a great excuse to get out for a pint or two in Gateshead's new Best Pub.

The Schooner, fantastic ales and ciders, draught and bottled. Loved the food.
Owners Dave and Julie have made great strides in turning this into a pub you want to visit. Great friendly atmosphere, even better if you can sit by the fire.
Quiz nights, quality live music
The standard against which other pubs should be measured.

The Schooner under new management. A handsome looking building, with a warm and welcome feel, The new management have worked wonders, making their own mark on " the Bunk".
Great selection of well kept beers, and Guinness!, this along with a fantastic menu makes this a new must for everyone.
The food really is great. You better turn up early for Sunday dinners!!
The quiz on a Wednesday night is great fun, and winnable!!
Saturday nights music night, and what a great selection of bands, Honey Bop Trio, Sour Mash ......
A hidden gem off Britain's most desirable street.
Hop on a bus, or hop on your bike, the Schooner is open and well worth a visit, or ten..

Visited The Schooner a few times since it changed hands recently and have been amazed by the welcome, the beer and the food. Last weekend we had lunch there on Sunday and it's the best and freshest we've eaten out in ages. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

The Schooner is under new ownership and does the best Sunday Lunches in Gateshead. Great Service and Great Food especially for the veggies out there order the Nut Roast!!! For the Real Ale drinkers there is a fine selection of beers poured to the highest standard. I would highly recommend a trip to the Schooner.

Vissited the Schooner pub for the first time last night to attend the Gateshead Supporters Club Christmas Dinner. What a wonderful hidden Jewel on the Banks of the Tyne. The mealwas first class as was the service. A friendly local pub & well worth a visit either for a liquid session or for an excellent meal
